WORK CONDITIONING Some patients- typically those injured during the course of their jobs- may need additional therapy to help them meet the physical needs of their job, requiring what is known as "work-conditioning" or our "work-ready" program.
For those injured at work, work conditioning is the final phase of the facility's complete rehabilitation process. In this aggressive treatment phase, you will perform carefully selected strengthening and cardiovascular exercises under the watchful eye of the therapy staff. The exercises simulate tasks that you perform on the job, and show the proper and safe way to perform these tasks as you continue to build your stamina, strength, mobility, and endurance. This approach will reduce the risk of re-injury when the patient reenters the workforce. |
