PHYSICAL THERAPY
AquaHab's Physical Therapy Division is responsible for evaluating, assessing and treating the needs of our patients. Our trained and licensed staff works in conjunction with physicians, case managers, and insurance adjusters. Physical Therapy is offered at all of our convenient locations. COLLEEN MCGINLEY, DPT
Vice President of Clinical Operations and Business Development

Colleen graduated from the University of Scranton with her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences in 2000, her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2001, and she received her doctorate in physical therapy in 2009. Currently, Colleen is an active member of the Orthopedic, Sports, Aquatic, and Private Practice sections of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Colleen has an extensive background in orthopedics and manual therapy, which includes 13 years in the outpatient physical therapy arena. She has held leadership and management positions in various centers throughout the Philadelphia area.

Colleen is dedicated to a hands-on approach to physical therapy and healing. She treats patients of all ages, including the younger athlete. Additionally, Colleen is recognized by both the medical community and local residents for her expertise in peripheral neuropathy treatment. She has done extensive lecturing and presentations on this topic.

Colleen remains committed to upholding AquaHab’s reputation as a premier provider of rehabilitative services for both aquatic and land therapy. Her focus is to ensure that AquaHab continues to deliver clinical excellence, compassionate service, and cutting edge treatments that far surpass a patient’s expectations.




NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA
REBECCA GILES, DPT
Clinical Supervisor - Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Becky was promoted to the Clinical Supervisor’s position during the summer of 2012. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in 2007 before receiving her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University in 2011. Becky has a wide array of experience working with patients diagnosed with various musculoskeletal and orthopedic injuries and currently serves as a Clinical Instructor for Physical Therapy students from the many schools based in the Greater Philadelphia region.


LISA SMITH, PTA
Senior Physical Therapist Assistant - Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Lisa M. Smith has been a Pennsylvania licensed Physical Therapy Assistant since August 1999. She is a graduate of Hahnemann University ('99) and has her Associates Degree in Science. Lisa has been with AquaHab Physical Therapy since October 1991. She has helped develop the Aquatic Physical Therapy Program here and has over 23 years' experience with multi diagnoses involving Aquatic Physical Therapy intervention.

Lisa has completed continuing education courses in Spinal Stabilization, Post Rehabilitation Hip and Knee Replacements, Core Mat Pilates Therapeutic Exercises, and Shoulder Impingement Rehabilitation and continues to take courses to further develop her knowledge in the world of Physical Therapy. She also takes a strong approach with patient education on body mechanic safety, as well as Back School, and Wellness programs.

Her mission statement is “Whatever it takes". She loves to educate, motivate, and accelerate her patients to a healthier lifestyle and functional well-being.







BALA CYNWYD
COLENE CLAYBORNE, DPT, ATC
Clinical Supervisor - Bala Cynwyd, PA

Colene graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Temple University in 1999. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from MCP Hahnemann/Drexel University in 2004. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, her experience includes working with Temple University's athletic program. Colene started with the company in 2004 as a staff physical therapist before quickly being promoted into a Clinical Supervisor's role. Colene has now served as the Clinical Supervisor at both the Bala Cynwyd and Northeast clinics. In addition to patient care, Colene has participated in clinical research studies, at Drexel University, assessing shoulder and scapular movement. Her findings were presented in February at CSM, a national physical therapy conference, in New Orleans, LA.


Caryn Reichlin Johnson, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA
Staff Occupational Therapist - Bala Cynwyd, PA

Caryn has been practicing aquatic therapy with adults with a wide range of injuries and disabilities for over 30 years. She has published and presented on aquatic therapy for occupational therapists numerous times, and currently teaches principles of aquatic therapy to occupational and physical therapy students at Thomas Jefferson University.

In addition, Caryn serves as Academic Fieldwork Coordinator and Associate Professor in the Occupational Therapy Program at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she has taught since 1983. Caryn received her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Tufts University in 1978 and an Advanced Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 1991. Caryn has multiple publications and presentations to her credit, and is currently completing the 4th edition of the Occupational Therapy Examination Review Guide, published by FA Davis.

In her free time, Caryn does mosaics and helps her husband care for the dog, chickens and honeybees.


RAY GOULD, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Bala Cynwyd, PA

Ray graduated from Hahnemann University’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program in 1993 with an A.S. Degree. He has worked in outpatient orthopedics for over 20 years and has been with the AquaHab team since 2001. Ray also attended the Philadelphia School of Massage Therapy in 2000 and received his NCTMB Certification (National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork). Ray is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has worked at several AquaHab locations including Grant Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, and Cherry Hill.

AMY SIMELSON-WARR, MSPT
Clinical Supervisor - Jenkintown, PA

Amy graduated with a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from Beaver College, now Arcadia University, in 1985. She has extensive musculoskeletal, manual and orthopedic experience that she has shared during her 20 plus years with AquaHab. Amy oversees the quality assurance objectives of all our clinics so that we may maintain the high quality of care offered to all of our patients. She also has been an adjunct professor at Arcadia University since 1991.
Amy also has extensive experience treating TMJ disorders.

Physical Therapist Assistant - Jenkintown, PA

Andrew Norton, DPT, CSCS
Staff Physical Therapist - Center City, PA

Andrew graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2012 and Graduated from Widener University in 2016 with his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. In 2015 Andrew also received his Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification through the NSCA. Andrew has had experience treating a variety of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular diagnosis. Andrew is dedicated to keeping up with current literature to provide the best care possible for his patients.

Kelley Frank, DPPT
Per Diem Physical Therapist

Kelley graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2010 with a B.S. in Rehabilitation Science and a certificate in Pathokinesiology, and from Drexel University in 2013 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Kelley has worked in outpatient orthopedics since graduating and recently joined AquaHab bringing with her extensive experience working with pre- and post-operative conditions, particularly athletes with ACL injuries. Kelley enjoys working with a variety of patients with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, using hands on techniques and the latest treatments to obtain optimal outcomes. She also has special interest in working with athletes after ACL reconstruction surgery as well as vestibular physical therapy including post-concussion treatments.


KELLY MILLER, PT, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist - Center City Philadelphia, PA

Kelly graduated from Temple University with a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy in 2006 and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009. Kelly started her career at Aquahab Physical Therapy in 2005 as an aide and after graduating in 2009 continued as a per diem Physical Therapist. She has experience in a variety of healthcare settings and has treated a wide range of patient populations. Kelly has also incorporated her love of sports into her physical therapy career by volunteering with local wheelchair sports teams as well as various non-profit organizations.


Dan Murphy, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant ­ Bala Cynwyd, PA

Physical Therapist Assistant - Bala Cynwyd, PA Dan graduated from Harcum College’s Physical Therapy Assistant program in 2014 with an Associate in Science Degree. Dan also holds an advanced certification in Home Modification from the University of Southern California and is a Licensed CPR Instructor with the American Heart Association. He has worked in various clinical settings including Outpatient, Acute Care, Post Acute, and Long Term Care facilities. Dan has a broad range of knowledge and experience that allows him to treat various types of pathologies and impairments. Dan is excited to be a part of the Aquahab physical therapy team to provide high quality treatment sessions, expand his clinical knowledge base, and further his career as a PTA.


BILL SILVESTRI, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist - Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Bill graduated from Temple University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and also in 2012 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy degree. Bill has been with Aquahab since graduating and has had the opportunity to work with patients with various injuries and diagnoses. Bill is hands on with his patients using the latest in cutting edge treatments.














Marissa Allamby, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist - Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Marissa graduated from Howard University in 2011 with a Bachelor ’s degree in Health Science. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013 from the University of Delaware. Marissa has worked with a wide variety of patients ranging from newborn babies to patients over 100 years old. Prior to becoming a member of Aquahab she was employed at a skilled nursing facility working with a primarily geriatric population with orthopedic and neuromuscular diagnosis. She utilizes a hands on approach and likes to incorporate evidenced based practice with all her patients.

Sheldon Shterengarts
Staff Physical Therapist - Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Sheldon graduated from the College of New Jersey with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science. He went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Temple University in 2011. Since graduating, Sheldon has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedic clinics in New York and New Jersey. He has also worked with the elderly population as a traveling physical therapist in California and Massachusetts. While Sheldon has a wide range of experience in various settings, his true passion is outpatient orthopedics. Sheldon completed one of his clinical rotations with Aquahab Physical Therapy in 2010, and he has returned in 2014 as a staff physical therapist. Sheldon is fluent in the Russian language.

















Michael Horne, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist - Bala Cynwyd, PA

Mike graduated from Lock Haven University in 2009 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Science. He obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Scranton in 2012. As a Student, he had two separate research projects accepted and presented at the national Combined Sections Meeting in Chicago (2012) and San Diego (2013).

Since graduation he has worked in various orthopedic settings. He likes to take a holistic, hands on approach, using a wide variety of manual techniques and functional intervention to aide patients through the healing process. Michael is also a certified ART provider for the spine.


Chris Johnson, DPT
Staff PT at Bala Cynwd, PA

Chris graduated from Immaculata University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Pre Physical Therapy in 2011. Chris went on to graduate from Widener University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2014. Before beginning his career in Physical therapy, Chris worked with a wide age range of clients as a certified personal trainer for over 6 years and youth conditioning coach for over 2 years. Chris utilizes his background in wellness and conditioning to help promote patient reintegration back to an active lifestyle while dealing with rehabilitation.











































ANGELA SANTONE, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Jenkintown, PA

Angela Santone has been a licensed physical therapist assistant since 1999. She has been a wonderful asset to Aquahab for the past ten years, sharing a wealth of orthopedic knowledge from her eclectic background. While working as a dancer in Las Vegas she also obtained her certification for Pilates teaching, applying that knowledge in the realm of dance medicine, as well as rehabilitation of the spine. After completing a 4 day intensive study in dance medicine at NYU, her special interests within the physical rehab setting lies in core development and maximizing physical outcomes for the seasoned athlete as well as the professional dancer.

































JEFF RUTH, DPT, OCS
Clinical Supervisor - Center City Philadelphia, PA

Jeff Ruth graduated with a BS in Allied Health Sciences from University of Connecticut in 2010, and became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the NSCA. Jeff then went on to receive his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University in 2013. Since graduating, Jeff has been working in orthopedic and sports physical therapy with a focus on evidence based practice and manual techniques to maximize patient recovery, function, and eliminate pain. Jeff is also certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment to help identify abnormal movement patterns in patients. Jeff is also certified in the LSVT BIG program for patients with Parkinson's Disease. Jeff enjoys focusing on patients with repetitive motion injuries and endurance athletes.








SARAH LEWIS, PTA
Physical Therapist Assistant - Bala Cynwyd, PA

Sarah is a licensed physical therapist assistant. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2010 and then proceeded to obtain her physical therapist assistant degree from Harcum College in 2013. Sarah started her career as a PTA here at AquaHab in August 2013. Sarah takes a “hands-on” approach to treating patients; she believes that manual therapy is a key component to proper care for all patients. She expresses interest in cervical spine injuries and looks forward to expanding her knowledge on this topic with continuing education.




Kevin DiGiulio, DPT
Staff Physical Therapist - Northeast Philadelphia, PA

Kevin DiGiulio graduated from University of Scranton in 2010 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Nutrition Studies. Kevin graduated from Temple University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program in 2013. Kevin’s clinical experience includes working with a wide variety of patients, ranging from cancer patients in an acute oncology setting to high school athletes in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Kevin has advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation, manual therapy including joint mobilization and manipulation, muscle energy, soft tissue techniques, and frequently participates continuing education and journal clubs to ensure he is using the most effective evidence-based treatment techniques. Kevin is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and is currently working towards a manual therapy certification (COMT) through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. Kevin has extensive experience treating post concussion syndrome and TMJ disorders.




Christina Lombardi, DPT
Staff PT

Christina is a compassionate, nurturing, collaborative, and energetic physical therapist. She grew up in the suburbs, outside of Philadelphia. Christina received her undergraduate from West Chester University and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. Christina enjoys living a healthy lifestyle and promoting wellness within the community.
